UNITELE’s second campus opens in the heart of the MSC in Cyberjaya. UNITELE was thereafter renamed ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½ (²ÝÝ®´«Ã½).

The Multimedia Learning System (MMLS), an in-house developed web-based courseware delivery engine that utilises multimedia to enhance the teaching and learning process via a ‘virtual teacher within a virtual classroom’ is designed.

TM established the Universiti Telekom (UNITELE) campus in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

Tan Sri Prof. Dr. Ghauth Jasmon was appointed as the first President of ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½ or known as Universiti Telekom (Unitele) on 1st December 1996

TM invited Prof Datuk Dr Ghauth Jasmon to lead UTSB, and he served ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½ as President for 11 years.
